Prime Vision has developed the concept Autonomous Sorting, the sorting of shipments by mobile robots. The development is in its final stage and expected to be deployed at various clients in Europe and USA in the coming period.
As Field Service Engineer you will have a shared responsibility for the commissioning and support of the Autonomous Sorting system at customer sites. You will be configuring the Autonomous Sorting system to the customer’s specific requirements. This involves setting up all system components, configuring interfaces with peripheral equipment such as cameras and scanners, and putting our software into operation. In this role you will work together with various parties on-site.
You will be the primary point of contact for subsystem testing, for the system to pass the Site Acceptance Test and for on-site support during the first period of production.
As part of the core Autonomous Sorting team, it is your responsibility to work collaboratively with the product manager, project manager and customer to commission, install, support and maintain our product at the customers.
Your tasks will consist of:
Install, calibrate, support, diagnose, repair and upgrade hardware or software.
Provide on-site customer services including commissioning and start-up, performance tests, troubleshooting, training, operations guidance.
Troubleshoot problems in a quick and effective manner.
Support of equipment both mechanically and electrically.
Act as a technical reference for our products for customers, partners, distributors and integrators.
Interact with the customers in order to configure the solution to their technical and operational requirements.
Document interventions and resolutions for future reference, and attend debrief meetings.
Support our Product and Project teams with internal and external review meetings.
Contribute to standardization of technical service delivery processes and tools and document best operating practices.
All other tasks that may be required by our operations.
Higher professional (HBO) or University (WO) degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Software, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
Min 3 years experience on-site support.
Experience in Linux or Unix environment.
Good communication skills.
Capable to work in a stressful environment to deliver mission critical solutions.
Initiative, resourcefulness and detail oriented.
Client-oriented personality, with good communication skills verbal & written in English.
An added Plus
High-level knowledge regarding PLC’s, sensors and/or experience in.
Experience in Mechatronics or Electro-Mechanical field support.
Location and Travel
Willing to travel 70% of the time.
