WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING LATELY
Successful Project Delivery
Over Delivering on our Promise
Prime Vision is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its first identification technology project for one of the largest parcel and logistics companies worldwide. In 2015 Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL) selected Prime Vision, as relatively small but well experienced Postal and Logistics IT provider and expert in OCR and recognition technology to be the supplier of choice for the Identification System for its ambitious new parcels hub in central Germany. DPDHL created a new paradigm by establishing DHL Sorting Center GmbH (DHL SoC) to take on the role as an overall Systems Integrator and this brave move has been handsomely rewarded by the success of its most modern and efficient parcel center in Obertshausen, Germany. 99% Read Rate is the New Standard
Prime Vision can read not only address labels but also decipher stamps, franking marks, logos and other images printed onto letters (and parcels).
Our R&D team has developed and refined techniques, which allow our customers to increase their read rates significantly. The automatic recognition of printed items on envelopes is now faster and more accurate than ever. The read rate measured on a collection of Dutch stamps exceeded 99%, whilst the error rate has been reduced to close to 0.
The object recognition solution is based on comparing information. First we compare descriptions of image patches around detected interest points on the image with descriptions stored in a database. Read more about it here...
