Prime Vision offers an internship or graduation assignment to the person who likes to work on product development and who wants to lay the foundation for new technologies within our company.
Our customer has more than 25 sorting depots that are almost identical. They have the desire to retrieve in-depth sorting information in order to be able to assess and compare the process of depots in detail. Think of the number of packages per sorting outlet, the number of packages without a valid barcode, how often are sorting outlets full, how long are packages on the belt, etc. The candidate can assume that the raw data for analysis is available in a SQL or NOSQL database. Raw data includes sorting data (type, timing, infeed, outlet), parcel characteristics (destination, customer, size, weight), environment (location, day/time, IT events).
The trainee / graduate is expected to make a tool as a Proof of Concept that uses the raw data as input and can correlate that data using data analytics/machine learning algorithms. Part of this assignment is selecting the required input data, selecting the best model and correlate data to compare depots and find ways to improve the performance of the depot in general.
An HBO / WO student with broad knowledge of Data Analytics, Machine learning and Big data;
You know how to build different models to correlate large input data and predict output data;
You have knowledge of at least one of the following development languages: Python, optionally R;
You have knowledge of SQL / NOSQL databases.
