Bid & Tender Manager

Location: Delft, the Netherlands

DESCRIPTION

Due to growth and international expansion our Sales & Marketing department is looking for an experienced Bid & Tender Manager for our head office in Delft.

Our new Bid & Tender manager is a very commercially focused individual who understands our business and operations. He/she is capable of understanding in depth the requirements of a purchasing organization while creating a team to deliver best in class proposals.

Next to producing proposals, the Bid & Tender Manager is regularly involved in projects regarding e.g. business intelligence, marketing & communications and digitization.

YOUR JOB

The following key activities play a central role in your job:

  • Primary responsibility for capturing sales opportunities while developing prospects relations and managing account relations together with the account directors;
  • Translating customer requests into a strong commercial proposal by beading bid and tender processes (large and medium sized) together with account directors and technical experts;
  • Managing the sales pipeline in our MS Dynamics 365 and communicating clearly about the progress of the monthly / quarterly sales goals;
  • Signaling and creating opportunities in order to realize individual sales targets and joint growth;
  • Leading or supporting marketing and business intelligence related projects.

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar job;
  • HBO+ work and thinking level;
  • Experience with the concept of Consultative Selling;
  • Familiar with procurement processes (e.g. RFI, RFQ, RFP, ITT);
  • Experience in the Logistics industry;
  • Strong skills in writing proposals in English and at least one other European language, preferably French, German or Spanish;
  • Experience with CRM-systems;
  • Affinity with and/or work experience in Marketing;
  • Comfortable with complex ICT topics;
  • Experience and confidence to engage with technical experts to create the best commercial offer.
