Prime Vision cropping and compression DLL features include:
- Cropping/compression of every image to leave only relevant information
- Deletion of background noise (e.g. sorting belts) by use of coordinates
- JPEG compression of up to 80% of original image size
All non-relevant parts of the image (such as the sorting belt) are cropped based on the barcode co-ordinates received from the camera system. The remaining image is much smaller and shows only the parcel. This image is compressed (using JPEG compression) to reduce the image file size for quick and efficient transmission across a network.
