Experience Day to be repeated
Such has been the success of the Parcel and Post Experience Day hosted by Vanderlande Industries that the next event is already being planned with the view to it becoming a regular occurrence. It brought together automation experts from all corners of the sector to create a comprehensive technology forum in which delegates could explore the latest developments.
Prime Vision was one of the participating experts, an OCR specialist that has recently broadened its scope to include systems integration and project management. “This was a great opportunity for us to showcase some of our achievements,” explained the company’s Ellen Brender a Brandis. “It allowed us to demonstrate how we are now working alongside our competitors and other suppliers to achieve the best solution for the customer.”
Organised by Vanderlande Industries’ at its headquarters in the Netherlands, the Experience Day featured presentations by Sick, Ancra and Prime Vision. It was chaired by the independent postal expert, Derek Osborn and attended by more than 30 delegates from postal organisations including DHL, TNT, DPD, Posten Norge and Itella.
Ellen Brender a Brandis continued: “The feedback from delegates has been extremely positive. The best automation solutions rely on the expertise of different suppliers and their willingness to work together towards a common goal. This event effectively demonstrated the benefits of good collaboration. Vanderlande Industries did a great job as our hosts and we would welcome the opportunity to take part in similar events in the future.”
