New appointment for the UK and Eastern Europe
Prime Vision is delighted to welcome Wouter Loomans to its ranks. He has joined the company as Account Manager for the UK and Eastern Europe, two territories with distinctly different needs.
“In the UK the outcome of the potential part-privatisation of Royal Mail is driving the smaller postal operators to refine their automation to create the most attractive service,” Wouter explains. “In Eastern Europe automation is the newcomer. It is just starting to be integrated alongside manual procedures so my role here will be very different. The contrast between the two will make my job very interesting.”
A graduate from a business school in Amsterdam, Wouter has joined Prime Vision from DistriSort, a leading supplier of sorting systems. During his time with this company he was part of the team responsible for the TNT SMO Project which involved implementing new sorting systems for mixed mail at five TNT hubs.
Initially Wouter will be focussing on new business for Prime Vision but ultimately he will also become involved in supporting established customers. And in addition to representing Prime Vision’s considerable interest in the postal market in the UK and Eastern Europe, Wouter has also been appointed the company’s Product Manager for its OCRlite product programme. These Prime Vision products use any detail in a data-capture image as a means of automating product handling in a broad variety of industries.
